Practical Reflexology
A large unit with elements running throughout the course. It includes the tenets and theories of reflexology. Its history, how it works, how we interact with, and help our clients professionally. How to refer, (and to whom). Plus, you will hone those important practical skills, including hand reflexology, always aided by your experienced tutor. There are also 3 observed client practical assessments as part of the unit.
Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology
Like all units, this is designed specifically for those who want to study Reflexology professionally. You will learn how the body systems work and are interdependent, and how you use this knowledge to benefit your client. You will research common conditions, (pathologies). Homeostasis, (internal regulation and balance), forms part of this unit, as does studying the affects of stress on the body.
Practice Management
Here you will study the legal and professional requirements of running your own business. Cash flows and business plans form part of this unit. These help you to plan your future, in addition to the core unit, we will go through lessons I have learned over the years as a practitioner and a business owner.
Case Studies
This unit is where all those skills you are learning come together as you carry out a series of case studies on clients. These are recorded and written to specific criteria which evolves with you as you develop your practical ability, and your knowledge grows.
