My passion for reflexology came from it being one of the successful therapies supporting me through my own health issues. In 2007 I was told that I had to quit my job and seek disability as it wouldn’t be long before I was in a wheelchair as I’d been diagnosed with life-limiting, degenerative conditions. After some time I decided to look for something I would be able to do. With support of those around me and being inspired by my reflexologist I embarked on a BSc (hons) Degree in Complementary Therapies, specialising in clinical reflexology at the University of Cumbria. The degree gave me the knowledge of how to take better care of myself as well as supporting others. Life has definitely changed for me and for the better.
I have been planning to teach reflexology for the past 5 years. From graduating University in 2012 and running my own complementary therapy business, I have had the desire to teach and share the wide range of knowledge I studied in Uni and have gained through being a full time practitioner, carrying out further research and CPD courses to others. The experiences I have had from being a clinical reflexology practitioner and a business owner still fires my passion for such a wonderful therapy.
